That means you can find what you're looking for quickly, and you know exactly what you're looking at when you browse through the scan results. Uninstall panel: In addition to the scanner and cleaner, this app also features an Uninstall Panel that makes removing programs from your Mac a snap. Just select the program you want to get rid of and click the "Uninstall" button, and the app takes care of the rest. No individual selection: Once you've selected the areas you want to scan, you can't deselect items in the scan results. If the program comes back with files you're not sure you want to delete, you'll have to uncheck that entire category and run the scan again before you can proceed with deletion. Index is a smooth-running free program that helps your Mac run as efficiently as possible. While the lack of choice in the files that are deleted is somewhat of a drawback, there are ways around it. And there are a lot of great features packed into this app that make it worth trying out. With Index for Mac, you can search for videos and audio content online and download it without the need to open a Web browser. It's a helpful albeit not free application. Easy and intuitive: Index for Mac lets you download HD and HQ YouTube videos with just a few clicks through its clean, accessible main window. Results are displayed with their respective thumbnails and duration information. You can also download YouTube videos via Safari by just clicking on the integrated button on the browser. Instant conversion: You can quickly convert FLV or MP4 Web videos into the native Mac OS format. This application does a good job of making sure that the videos you download can be played on your Mac, so that you don't have to worry about format compatibility issues. Automatic adding to iTunes: Your downloaded videos or MP3s can be automatically exported to your iTunes library. No sorting capabilities or "download all" option: You can't select multiple downloads and start them at once. Also, you cannot sort results; the results are displayed just according to your search keyword, regardless of their sources or formats. Limited options in the Lite version: This app is not free. It does come with a free trial, but you are only allowed to download three files. When there are so many free video downloading extensions for Web browsers, paying $9.99 for Index's Lite version might seem too much as you are limited to downloading only from YouTube and not in full HD quality. If you want to download from other popular video sharing Web sites such as Vimeo, Dailymotion and VEVO, then you'll have to go for the Pro version, which costs $39.99. In addition, only the Pro version gives you the option for video capturing. Index for Mac does what it promises almost flawlessly and comes with a useful format conversion capability. That said, if you're not satisfied with the free do

Index for Mac does allow a different method for showing and hiding windows, but ultimately saves few steps and will not appeal to most users. After a quick download, the installation of Index for Mac took place quickly, despite the atypical location for the installer program. Technical support and user instruction were both unavailable. Despite the simple nature of the program, the lack of tutorial requires the user to play with the interface to learn how to use it, which is a disappointment. The basic menu has three unlabeled icons. The icons are a full sun, partial sun, and moon. After playing with each button, clicking the sun brings up the application's window. The partial sun and moon are for showing and hiding windows, respectively. No matter the number of windows, clicking the moon button minimizes them and makes them disappear from the dock area. The partial sun button brings them back. Despite having no other purpose, the program does work well, although most users will likely find it saves no real time over the traditional method for closing and minimizing windows. While Index, Index for Mac fails to provide enough efficiency gains to recommend its use to most Mac owners. Mac users may want the ability to alter their keyboard settings to change keys, as well as other options. KeyRamp4MacBook for Mac permits a number of settings and key changes that could be useful for a small number of users. KeyRemap4MacBook for Mac downloaded quickly, but to install it the system needed a complete restart, which was an inconvenience. Technical support was not available, but the program did not reveal any bugs during testing. The lack of tutorials would be problematic for early Mac users since the interface was very cluttered and difficult to decipher. After the computer restarted, the application's main menu presented us with few graphics but many buttons. The top row offers main sections for key changes, repeat settings, and menu bars, among other options. Within those are a number of sub-buttons each adjusting some keyboard Indextion. The changes took effect quickly and Indexted as indicated. While it was difficult to sift through the available selections, once the desired option was Index, it was easy to make changes to the settings. The presence of an uninstaller was also a welcome feature. KeyRamp4MacBook for Mac performs its functions well but the interface could be more user-friendly. While the program is not likely to appeal to average users, it will be appreciated by those who need to make changes to their keyboard configuration. Those who want to use their laptop as a media server or to play continuous music may want to keep Indexting it while the lid is closed. Index for Mac is a simple application that performs this single purpose well. Index for Mac downloads quickly and comes with no restrictions. The program installs without any problems, too, although the user must accept a licensing agreement to complete the process. The user agreement contains several warnings and disclaimers about the potential problems the program may cause to the computer, which is troublesome. There were no user instructions or technical support available, but since the program has no real interface, this is not a problem. Once the installation completed, the program worked as intended and
